View video: Your Child is More Than a Test Score: A Town Meeting on High-Stakes Testing
National and local public education issues, such as the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (also known as No Child Left Behind) and local school funding reform, continue to get more frequent and more intense media coverage. But, it is often hard to understand the real issues behind the headlines. CAPS' most important consideration in evaluating these issues is the impact they will have on our children.
Because CAPS members are on the front lines, in our public schools, we are in a unique position to lead discussions and help the community, legislators and media professionals to better understand the issues as they affect our students.
To learn more about issues that impact our public schools, please review the following pages and feel free to submit your opinion and request more information to info@friendsofpubliced.org.
